Key Changes:
-
Complaint Handling Time:
- The regulations aim to address complaints more swiftly to ensure that disputes are resolved promptly, preventing delays in the implementation of public projects. The current complaint handling time has been reduced to 40 days from the previous 45 days.
-
Procedure for Submitting Complaints and Appeals:
- The regulations clearly outline the procedure for submitting complaints or appeals, including the necessary documents and submission deadlines.
-
Quick Decisions:
- The Appeals Authority will issue a decision within five working days after completing the hearing of the case, reducing the waiting time for decisions.
These new regulations are expected to increase efficiency and transparency in the public procurement process, ensuring that complaints are handled fairly and swiftly. This will help improve the delivery of public services and the implementation of development projects.
As these regulations will come into effect soon, all stakeholders in public procurement are advised to familiarize themselves with these changes and prepare to comply with them.
