Haikata Arabic well:

This well was discovered by the Arabs in 1545, its water was used to watering the coconut trees planted by the Arabs when they arrived in Mikindani. When Germans arrived, they also used the water from this well to build their buildings in 1895. In 1949, the British built a wall around this well, the uniqueness of this well is that it has salt-free water. Haikataa well was also used as a place to perform worship or rituals, but it was also believed that this well was protected by beetles and snakes that lived in the tree at the edge of this well.
