Eng. Fanuel O.S. Kalugendo  is the Director of  Transport Development at the Dar Rapid Transit Agency (DART). 

Qualifications

Eng. Kalugendo is a registered professional Civil Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of Tanzania. A native of Tanzania, he holds a Masters of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Transport & Planning from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. Masters of Science in Disaster Risk Management from Ardhi University, Tanzania and Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Civil) from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Career Experience

Eng. Kalugendo is an expert in Transportation planning and Disaster Risk Management (DRM) with work experience in transportation engineering projects, disaster management programme in public service and private sector. He has dedicated himself to international and national transportation studies, public-private partnership, disaster risk reduction programs, contract negotiation and management, and has a long track record in supervising and managing a diverse portfolio of large scale civil engineering construction projects and multi-sector disaster risk mitigation programs for more than 17 years. He also provides advisory services for different clients on policy, strategy and operational issues in the field of transportation engineering.
