It’s my great pleasure and honour on behalf of the Management and staff of the Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) to welcome you to the official website of TMA.  The website provides key and fundamental information about TMA including its vision, mission, role and functions as highlighted in TMA Act No. 2 of 2019.   

A brief history of TMA together with weather and climate information and products provided for various sectors are also described.

To better serve the public, TMA website has been redesigned to ensure greater accessibility and enable more user-friendly experience.  The new website offers more convenient access to advisories and warning of severe weather events, weather forecasts covering 24 hours, 5 days, 10 days, as well as seasonal climate outlook and agro-meteorological information and products as appropriate.

The website provides access to weather video clip, photos for special events and weather map that gives access of weather for twenty-four hours for all regions in the country. This website is linked with some systems which are used by the Authority to enhance operations and service delivery.

The Authority’s management remains committed to continuously improving the website, enhancing its content, and advancing the timely delivery of services to all customers and stakeholders.
