Registration
REGISTRATION OF PROFESSIONALS, TECHNICIANS AND PRACTICING/CONSULTING FIRMS
Under the provision of Part III of the Act No. 23 of 2007, a person shall be recognized and entitled to practice as a procurement and Supplies professional or technician if that person is duly registered under the Act.
According to Act No. 23 of 2007, the Board maintains the following registers:
Register for Procurement and Supplies Professionals
Persons eligible to be registered in the category of procurement and supplies professionals must be a person who is the holder of a CSP, CPSP, CIPS, degree, advanced diploma, or other related awards.
Register for Procurement and Supplies Technicians
Persons eligible to be registered in the category of procurement and supplies technicians must be a person who is the holder of Professional I or II, diploma or certificate, or other related awards.
Registration Procedures
A person who wishes to obtain registration under the PSPTB Act shall submit an application in a prescribed form to the Executive Director, accompanied by:
A certified copy or copies of certificates for academic qualifications of the applicant.
An application fee as may be prescribed.
Such other documents containing information as may be required by the Board.
Continued Professional Development (CPD)
This conditionality is part of membership requirements.
This activity aimed at keeping members abreast of the latest developments in the profession and needs in this industry. Knowledge and skills are sharpened, and professionals are availed of a forum whereby professionals from different sectors are able to interact and share experiences. Each professional member should clock in at least 40 hours of CPD annually
