EXEMPTION APPLICATION
- The Board will accept and grant exemptions to holders of qualifications from other disciplines on non-core subjects for curricula bearing five years at the time of the exemption application from any recognized institutions. The exemptions will NOT include subjects at the Certified Procurement and Supply Professional Level, as all of them are compulsory.
- Candidates holding a Master's degree or PhD will NOT be required to conduct research papers; instead, they shall be obliged to write independent professional practice project papers as shall be guided by the Board. This will apply only to candidates who will possess such qualifications during admission to Certified Professional Level One (CPSP I) examinations.
- Applicants with qualifications obtained outside Tanzania are required to submit detailed syllabi and transcripts for the programs undertaken. Also, they should obtain proof from the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU), the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET), or relevant professional bodies that the University or institution awarding that qualification is an accredited institution.
EXAMINATION POSTPONEMENT
The Board accepts the postponement of the examination under the following scenario:
1. Postponement within acceptable dates
A candidate wishing to withdraw from an examination may do so in writing and is required to apply to the Board one month before the May examinations and the November examinations. In such cases, the full fee shall be carried forward to the immediate next examination session. A candidate shall, however, be required to reapply through the Online Registration System for a fresh examination at the respective examination bloc and level.
2. Postponement after the acceptable dates
Applications to postpone the examinations that are received after the acceptable dates, i.e., one month before May examinations and November examinations, shall not be entertained. In such situations, a candidate shall be required to pay afresh all the applicable fees.
3. Postponement of emergency cases.
In case a candidate faces an emergency, the Board shall accept his/her application for postponement if it is lodged with supporting evidence.
A candidate whose application for postponement has been accepted by the Board shall be required to apply for the examination through the Online Registration System in the next session and not thereafter.
Half of the fees paid may be carried forward to the next examination session upon application, as a postponement has been lodged after the acceptable dates.
Note: The Board may accept postponement if the candidate postpones all subjects at the registered level and not otherwise.
EXAMINATION RESULTS
After candidates have attempted PSPTB Professional examinations, scripts or examination papers will be marked, and the results will be processed. The Board will release the results for public consumption after being approved by the relevant authority. The results will be published and posted to candidates' ORS accounts.
Any examination irregularities recorded during the conduct of examinations may amount to the nullification of the aggrieved candidate’s results. The process for nullifying the results is guided by the Examinations Bylaws, which are issued to candidates before admission into examination halls.
